Ramir Horro

1909-1987
Ramir Horro

Biography

Ramir Horro was born in Egypt in 1909. His mother was Italian and his father, who was from Galicia, worked at the Spanish consulate in Egypt.

In 1920 Ramir returned to Spain and soon established his residence in Vilanova i la Geltrú.

After his military service and the Spanish Civil War he devoted himself to photography, with more devotion than technique, and wherever he went he took his camera with him.

He contributed to the local press for many years and he took part in all the photographic events of the day. He took over 150,000 photographs, making him Vilanova's and the district's most prolific chronicler, always present at the main events taking place around him.
